2025 Hunter's Sight- In

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office annually sponsors a Hunter Sight-In Program. The program prepares hunters for the upcoming deer hunting season. The program allows hunters to sight-in their shotguns, rifles and pistols in a safe environment at the Dane County Law Enforcement Training Center. Experienced instructors will be on hand to provide assistance in the sighting and adjusting of firearms. Hunters will also be able to receive information on hunting laws, regulations and gun safety. 

The dates for 2025 Hunter's Sight- In are November 14 – 21. The hours are 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. The cost is $10 per shooter which includes one gun. There is an additional charge of $5 per gun for each additional gun. We accept cash or check only. Only weapons that are legal for deer hunting are allowed. There is no indiscriminate shooting during this time.
